Dinosaurs
This is a favourite topic for children of all ages and this booklet covers facts about some of the different types of dinosaurs. They first evolved during the Triassic Period. At first they were quite small but rapidlly developed into all sorts of shapes and sizes. During the Jurassic Period, which occurred between 213 and 144 million years ago the dinosaurs and true reptiles took over. Some of the dinosaurs were the largest land animals that ever lived and some were no bigger than the size of a hen. For one hundred million years on land, in the air and in the water these animals ruled Earth.
